An online menu for your restaurant, at its own address
Every restaurant on Platevio can have a website at its own address — yourname.platevio.com — showing the menu you already keep in Platevio. Every category, item and extra, with photos and prices, on any phone. Change a price at the counter and the website shows it on the next visit.
What an online menu for a restaurant is
An online menu is the menu a guest reads on their own phone before they walk in, or while they decide at the table, at a web address rather than in a PDF or a photo of the card. Most restaurants end up with three of them: a PDF nobody updates, a list on a delivery app, and the menu in the till. Platevio’s is not another copy. It is the menu the till already runs on, published at an address you choose, so the price a guest reads is the price they are charged.
-
Your own address
You pick the word before .platevio.com once, in the app’s Website page. That one link is what goes in your Instagram bio, on your Google profile and in a WhatsApp message.
-
The whole menu, as you wrote it
Every category, every item and every extra with its price, in your own words, with the categories arranged the way you arranged them. Photos you added to an item appear beside it.
-
Live, not a copy
The website reads the same menu the restaurant works from. There is nothing to export, upload or remember to refresh after you change a dish.
-
Your name, address and phone
The page opens on the restaurant’s name and ends with where to find you, with a button that calls you from a phone.
From the menu in the app to a link in your bio
The website is a view of what you already keep in Platevio, so setting it up is short.
-
09:30
Build the menu once
Categories, items, extras, photos and prices, entered in Platevio the way the restaurant already uses them at the counter and in the kitchen.
-
09:40
Choose your address
Open the Website page in the app, pick the word before .platevio.com and turn the website on. It is public from that moment.
-
09:45
Share one link
Put the address in your Instagram bio, your Google Business profile and the replies you send on WhatsApp. Guests open it in whatever browser their phone already has.
-
17:50
Change a price before dinner
Edit the dish in Platevio and the website shows the new price straight away. The guest reading it at six sees what the kitchen is cooking at six.
What a guest sees on your online menu
One page, laid out like a printed menu and built for a phone held in one hand.
-
Photos beside the dishes
An item with a photo in Platevio shows it on the website too, so a guest can see the dish before choosing it.
-
Extras and their prices
Each extra is listed under its item with what it adds to the bill, so nobody is surprised when the cheese costs more.
-
Prices in your country’s format
Prices are written the way your country writes money, for every reader, and the taxes you set up are shown with their rates.
-
The guest’s language
Headings, buttons and labels appear in the reader’s language, with a picker at the foot of the page. Your dish names and descriptions stay exactly as you wrote them.
-
Found by search engines
The menu is in the page itself, with the structured data a search engine reads for a restaurant and its menu, so the dishes can be found by name.
-
A call button
Your phone number sits at the foot of the menu with a Call button, for the guest who wants to book a table or ask about an allergy.
Questions about the online menu
- Do I need to build a website to have an online menu?
- No. The website is generated from the menu you keep in Platevio. You choose its address and turn it on in the app, and there is no page to design, host or maintain.
- How do I update the menu on the website?
- Edit the menu in Platevio as you normally would. The website reads that same menu, so a new dish, a changed price or a removed extra shows up on the next visit.
- What address does my online menu have?
- It lives at a word you choose followed by .platevio.com, such as yourname.platevio.com. You can change the word later, but links already shared under the old address stop working.
- Can guests read the menu in their own language?
- The page around your menu — headings, buttons and labels — appears in the guest’s language, and they can switch it at the foot of the page. The dishes themselves are shown in your own words.
- Does the online menu show photos and prices?
- Yes. Every item shows its price, every extra shows what it adds, and any photo you added to an item in Platevio appears beside it.
- Where should I share the link?
- Anywhere a guest looks for your menu: your Instagram bio, your Google Business profile, WhatsApp replies and your own website if you have one.
