Delete your account
Ask us and your Platevio account is deleted, along with the restaurant behind it. There is no form to fill in, nothing to pay and no notice period. This page says exactly who to write to, what goes, what does not, and how long it takes.
Last updated
Which account this is about
The account you created in Platevio, the restaurant point-of-sale app published by Platevio — the same account whether you sign in at app.platevio.com or in the Platevio app on a phone, a tablet or a computer. It is one account across all of them, so deleting it deletes it everywhere. It is not an account on www.platevio.com, the site you are reading: there is nothing to sign in to here, and what this site measures is described in the privacy notice.
How to ask
Write to support@platevio.com from the email address you sign in with, and say you want your account deleted. Or open Help inside the app and ask there — it reaches the same people, and it already knows which account you are writing from. We answer, and we check the request came from the account it is about: deleting a restaurant deletes its menu and its order history, and we are not doing that on the word of whoever has your email address in front of them. If you are the last owner of a restaurant, that reply says exactly what would go with you, and nothing is deleted until you confirm it.
What gets deleted
Your user record — your name, your email address, your phone number, your password and your PIN — and your place on the staff of every restaurant you belong to. If other people still work at that restaurant, the restaurant stays theirs and only you are removed from it. If you are its last owner, it goes with you: its menu, its categories and items, its tables and floor plan, its printers, its staff list and every order it has ever taken. None of it is archived on our side afterwards.
How long it takes
Within 30 days of you confirming the request, and usually within a few days. A person here does the deletion rather than a button you press, which is why this is a request and not an instant action — and why it can be stopped by writing back before it happens. Copies inside routine database backups fall out of those backups as they roll over, and a deleted account is never restored from one.
What outlives the account
Two things, and both are records of contact rather than copies of your data. The conversation you had with support, if you had one, stays in our support inbox with the name and email address you wrote from — say the word and that goes too. And Platevio watches how new restaurants find their way through signup with Microsoft Clarity, whose recordings carry no name and no email address: they are labelled with the account’s internal id, which stops resolving to anybody once the account is gone, and they expire on Clarity’s own schedule. Nothing else survives. There is no invoice and no payment record, because Platevio has never charged anybody for anything, so there is nothing here that tax law obliges us to hold on to — and we keep no copy of your menu or your orders for our own use.
Changes, and how to reach us
When this page changes, the date above changes with it. Anything you want to ask first — what exactly would be deleted, whether your restaurant would survive you leaving it, how to hand it to somebody else instead — goes to the same address: support@platevio.com. We answer either way.
